Privacy and discretion
Excellent work can remain entirely in the client’s hands.
Atlas can work quietly, deliver without public attribution, and design handling around the sensitivity of the commission. Privacy is not a theatrical promise. It is a set of decisions about identity, access, transfer, retention, and use.

The client should be free to use the work without bringing Atlas into the picture.
The default public posture is silence. Any credit, case description, testimonial, portfolio use, or identification of a commission requires a separate and explicit decision.
Attribution follows the client
Subject to the engagement terms and applicable rules, the client may receive a clean work product without Atlas branding or public attribution.
Collect only what is needed
The research purpose should determine what material enters the commission. Sensitive information that does not serve the work should not be gathered merely because it is available.
Separate access from usefulness
The final work product can often be designed so that readers receive what they need without receiving the complete underlying collection or sensitive source record.
Agree upon retention
Retention, return, archival need, and deletion are stated in the engagement terms according to the nature of the material and the client’s continuing requirements.
Disclose only what duty requires
Atlas can remain outside the client’s public presentation unless law, professional duty, institutional policy, contract, or academic integrity requires disclosure.
Sensitive commissions
Stronger handling can be arranged before material moves.
Personal data, proprietary research, competitive projects, unpublished manuscripts, legal material, and confidential business information may justify controls beyond ordinary email.
Atlas will agree upon a suitable channel before material moves, define who may access the material, separate identifying information where appropriate, and document the retention or deletion expectation before transfer. Encrypted exchange is not represented as active until the exact channel has been confirmed and tested for the commission.
The chosen method should match the sensitivity and the client’s own environment. Atlas will not describe ordinary email as secure merely because transport encryption may be present.
The actual mechanics
Privacy should be specific enough to inspect.
The public site and the engagement are different environments. These are the present public site rules and the decisions made before confidential work begins.
No advertising profile
The site intentionally uses no advertising tracker, behavioral profile, or data sale. Essential hosting logs may still be created by the infrastructure that serves the site.
No stored web form
The commission brief assembles text in the visitor’s browser and opens the visitor’s own email application. Atlas does not receive anything until the visitor chooses to send it.
Conflict screen first
Names of relevant people and organizations can be reviewed before the substance of a sensitive matter is disclosed. A passed screen is not acceptance of the commission.
Terms before transfer
Confidentiality, access, location requirements, retention, deletion, and delivery are agreed in writing when the nature of the work requires them.
Minimal first contact
Ordinary email is for scope discussion, not privileged, clinical, identity, trade secret, or restricted material. Describe the category and required protection only.
Silence by default
No client name, testimonial, case description, or work product enters Atlas marketing without separate express written permission.
Use of commissioned work
Designed for clean adoption.
The expected commercial position is that clients can use, adapt, publish, present, or integrate commissioned deliverables without public credit to Atlas, subject to the engagement terms, third party rights, and any legal or institutional duties that apply.
A necessary qualification
Privacy does not mean concealment where disclosure is required.
Academic rules, court obligations, professional duties, source licenses, or other binding requirements may require attribution or disclosure. Atlas will not structure a commission to evade those responsibilities.
Before sensitive material is sent
Agree upon the channel, the people, the purpose, and the end of the record.
A privacy conscious commission should identify how information enters, who can see it, what copies are created, how the finished work leaves, and what should happen to working material afterward.
What Atlas does not claim
Security language must not outrun the system beneath it.
Atlas does not describe ordinary email as end to end encrypted, does not claim a regulatory certification that has not been independently verified, and does not promise a data residency location before the chosen service and engagement requirements are known.
