What stays in your control
Permission to publicize a project is separate from permission to carry it out. The handling terms cover the material itself.
Unbranded delivery is available
Subject to the engagement terms and applicable rules, the client may receive a clean work product without Atlas branding or public attribution.
Only collect what the work needs
The research question determines what material is needed. We do not ask for sensitive information simply because you have it.
Access can be limited by role
Someone reading the final document may not need the underlying files. We can separate those materials and agree who may see each part.
Retention is agreed in writing
The terms state what is retained and for how long, what is returned and what is deleted. Any continuing need for an archive is addressed before work begins.
Disclosure obligations still apply
Atlas can remain outside the client’s public presentation unless law, professional duty, institutional policy, contract, or academic integrity requires disclosure.
Sensitive projects
Agree on the channel first
Describe the sensitivity of your material in the first inquiry. Leave confidential files out of that email.
Encrypted transfer is available. The channel is confirmed and tested with you before anything moves. We agree who may access the files and separate identifying information where appropriate.
The method must suit both the material and your own requirements. Ordinary email is not treated as secure merely because it uses transport encryption.
Current mechanics
On the website and during a project
The website practices below apply now. Controls for an individual project are agreed in writing before confidential work begins.
No advertising profile
The site intentionally uses no advertising tracker, behavioral profile, or data sale. Essential hosting logs may still be created by the infrastructure that serves the site.
No stored web form
The commission brief assembles text in the visitor’s browser and opens the visitor’s own email application. Atlas does not receive anything until the visitor chooses to send it.
Conflict screen first
Names of relevant people and organizations can be reviewed before the substance of a sensitive matter is disclosed. A passed screen is not acceptance of the project.
Terms before transfer
The terms cover confidentiality and access, along with any requirements for data location. They also set out retention and deletion arrangements and how the work will be delivered.
Minimal first contact
Ordinary email is for scope discussion, not privileged, clinical, identity, trade secret, or restricted material. Describe the category and required protection only.
Silence by default
No client name, testimonial, case description, or work product enters Atlas marketing without separate express written permission.
Use of project work
Delivery without Atlas branding
The engagement terms set out your right to use and adapt the work, including publication without public credit to Atlas. Third-party rights and applicable legal or institutional duties still apply.
A necessary qualification
Required disclosures still apply
Academic rules, court obligations, professional duties, source licenses, or other binding requirements may require attribution or disclosure. Atlas will not structure a project to evade those responsibilities.

Atlas does not describe ordinary email as end to end encrypted, does not claim a regulatory certification that has not been independently verified, and does not promise a data residency location before the chosen service and engagement requirements are known.
